Colin started playing tennis when he was 11 and the wall was his coach. Many years later, he was invited frequently to the pro play-ins at the Salt Lake Tennis Club. Not until he moved to St. George in 2014, had he considered coaching tennis! He started coaching at the high school level, then added to his teaching skills at Bloomington Country Club under Clark Hancock before moving to the Division 1 college coaching level at SUU for the men’s team. In his final year at SUU as the men’s head coach, they finished at #2 in the Big Sky Conference having never won a match only 2 years earlier! Colin has coached high school tennis for both boys and girls at Pineview, Dixie, and is currently at Crimson Cliffs. His teams have earned region and state championships and he was girl’s tennis high school coach of the year! If you are looking to improve your technical skills, he can help you develop those skills quickly.
