Group Power Benefits for Building Strength and Confidence

If you’re looking for a workout that helps build strength, improve endurance, and keep you…

If you’re looking for a workout that helps build strength, improve endurance, and keep you motivated, the Group Power benefits may be exactly what you need. Strength training is one of the most effective forms of exercise for improving overall health, yet many people feel intimidated by weight rooms or aren’t sure where to start.

Group Power eliminates that uncertainty by combining expert instruction, motivating music, and structured workouts into a fun and effective class experience. At Summit Athletic Club, Group Power has become one of the most popular strength-training classes because it delivers results for participants of all fitness levels.

Whether you’re new to resistance training or looking to take your fitness to the next level, Group Power can help you build strength and confidence in a supportive environment.

What Is Group Power?

Group Power is a full-body strength-training class that uses barbells, weight plates, body weight exercises, and functional movements to challenge every major muscle group.

Unlike traditional gym workouts where you create your own routine, Group Power provides:

  • Structured programming
  • Certified instruction
  • Motivating music
  • Progressive strength development
  • A supportive group atmosphere

One of the biggest Group Power benefits is that participants don’t have to plan their workouts. Simply show up and follow the instructor’s guidance.

Group Power Benefits for Strength Development

The primary focus of Group Power is strength training.

Regular participation helps strengthen:

Upper Body

Exercises such as presses, rows, and curls help develop stronger arms, shoulders, chest, and back muscles.

Lower Body

Squats, lunges, and deadlift variations target the glutes, hamstrings, quadriceps, and calves.

Core

Throughout the class, participants engage their core muscles to maintain proper form and stability.

These combined movements create a balanced approach to full-body strength development.

Why Group Power Is Great for Beginners

Many people avoid strength training because they don’t know where to begin.

One of the most valuable Group Power benefits is accessibility. The class is designed for all fitness levels, allowing participants to choose weights that match their abilities.

Beginners benefit from:

  • Professional instruction
  • Exercise demonstrations
  • Technique coaching
  • Progressive improvement
  • Reduced intimidation

Over time, participants gain confidence and develop skills that transfer to other areas of fitness.

Group Power Benefits for Weight Management

Strength training plays an important role in weight management.

Building lean muscle helps support a healthy metabolism because muscle tissue requires energy to maintain. This means your body continues burning calories even after your workout ends.

Group Power supports weight management by helping participants:

  • Build lean muscle
  • Increase calorie expenditure
  • Improve body composition
  • Support long-term fitness goals

When combined with proper nutrition and regular activity, strength training can be a valuable part of a healthy lifestyle.

Group Power Benefits for Bone Health

Strength training provides benefits that go beyond muscles.

Research consistently shows that resistance exercise can help support bone density and overall skeletal health. This becomes increasingly important as we age.

By regularly participating in Group Power, members can support:

  • Stronger bones
  • Better balance
  • Improved stability
  • Reduced injury risk

These benefits contribute to long-term health and independence.

Group Power Benefits for Accountability

Consistency is one of the most important factors in achieving fitness success.

The group environment creates built-in accountability that helps many participants stay committed to their goals.

Members often enjoy:

  • Encouragement from instructors
  • Support from classmates
  • Structured schedules
  • Increased motivation

Many people find they push themselves harder in a group setting than they would during solo workouts.

Pair Group Power With Other Summit Programs

Many Summit members combine Group Power with other programs to create a well-rounded fitness routine.

Popular combinations include:
